GTA Online's Halloween event ends Nov 4, and the GTA VI countdown is on

Last call for triple-payout Survivals, free Halloween gear and the GTA$2M challenge bonus. Then GTA VI preloads open Nov 12 ahead of the Nov 19 launch.

It's a big month for Grand Theft Auto. GTA Online is wrapping up its Halloween event this week, and Grand Theft Auto VI is now just over two weeks out. Here's what to do right now and which dates to circle.

GTA Online: final Halloween week (through Nov 4)

The current weekly update runs October 29 to November 4, 2026, and it's the last week of the Halloween event. Highlights, per the weekly-update trackers linked below:

• Triple GTA$ and RP on Halloween Survivals (Alien Survivals pay 6x for GTA+ members), the Halloween Featured Series (Slasher modes), the San Andreas Super Sport Series and the Community Mission Series.
• Double rewards on several other activities, including UFO Business Battles. Jack O'Lanterns pay 2x, or 4x for GTA+ members.
• 40% off Agency properties, including upgrades and modifications.
• Free gear: play any time through November 4 to get the Brown Vintage Skull Mask and Halloween Chute Bag. The Día de Muertos login gifts (a tee plus two Calaca masks) are also live.
• This week's challenge: survive 10 waves of a Survival without dying for GTA$250,000 and the Slasher Clown Outfit.

The big one: if you finish all five of October's Weekly Challenges by November 4, you get a GTA$2,000,000 bonus, paid within 72 hours. If you only have this week's left, it's worth a few Survival runs tonight.

GTA VI: the dates that matter

Rockstar's official announcement locks in the key details:

• Launch: November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
• Preload: digital pre-orders can start downloading on November 12.
• Physical copies: on shelves November 12. The box contains a download code, not a disc.
• Price: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate Edition.
• Pre-order bonus: buy before November 20 and you get the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also come with a free month of GTA+.

PlayStation Store's US listing shows the game unlocking at 05:00 UTC on November 19, which is midnight Eastern. The PS5 version is also tagged as PS5 Pro Enhanced. One thing to watch: the GTA+ month on PlayStation renews at the regular price unless you cancel, per the store's offer terms.
